Refund  Policy 

Effective date: April 3, 2023

Refund policy is a scheme under which the option of exchange, replacement and/ or refund is offered to you, under specific conditions, as detailed herein and company reserves its rights in this regard. All products listed under a particular category may not have the same refund policy. For all products, the returns/replacement policy provided on the product page shall prevail over the general refund policy. Do refer the respective item's applicable return/replacement policy on the product page for any exceptions to this refund policy.

As per our refund policy, the option of replacement and/or refund offered to you can be exercised within a Return Window of 48 hours from the time of delivery of your order (for all Eligible Orders). If 48 hours have elapsed after delivery of your order, the return/replacement window will be closed, and unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or replacement for your order.

Shelf life of the Products

The Product sold on davai have a minimum shelf life of 8 months.

Returns/Replacements

Though we try to ensure that your order reaches you in the best possible condition, on rare occasions, one or more items can be damaged in transit. If you have received an order with fully or partially damaged items, you can request for a refund/replacement from the Davai app itself (see FAQs on Requesting a Refund for a step-by-step guide). All such requests need to be placed within the Return Window and proof-of-damage must be submitted through the app. Upon placing a return/replacement request, a customer service representative will review the details and process a replacement or a refund, as appropriate.

Please note that for most partially damaged items, a full refund may not be available. In all such cases, we will ship you a replacement shipment for the damaged items at no extra cost. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

Please also note that several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Any such items will be marked as non-returnable on the Davai app. Please make sure that you review such details before placing your order.

We reserve the right to the choose between replacement and refund for all Eligible Orders.

Refunds

Changed your mind about an order? No worries! You can cancel your order for free until midnight on date of placing your order. An automatic refund will be triggered to your original method of payment.

If you have not cancelled your order on the same day, we cannot guarantee a full refund as your order may have shipped. In such cases, you can still request for a cancellation, however, a full/partial refund cannot be guaranteed. All such requests will be processed on a case-by-case basis and we reserve the right to reject/refuse a refund in such cases.

In some rare cases, such as in case of non-delivery of your order or upon delivery of defective or damaged products, you can request for a refund/replacement.

(a) Non-delivery of the order

If your order has not been delivered within its stipulated time and you have not been informed about any delays, you can request for a refund/replacement from the Davai app itself. A customer service representative will review the details of your order and will provide you with available options for replacement or refund.

(b) Upon delivery of defective or damaged products

If you have requested for a refund on account of delivery of a damaged shipment, a customer service representative will review the details (proof-of-damage submitted) and process a replacement or a refund, as appropriate.

In some cases, we may require you to return the goods to our warehouse for inspection. In such cases, once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund within 7 working days, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company (if your payment method was a credit card) as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Shipping

If we require you to return an order, we will email you with the shipping address and all other details you may require for shipping. Please note that you will be responsible for paying for the shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

If you are shipping an item over, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
